About Dr. Quigley

Dr. Thomas Quigley is considered a “super-specialist” in the field of cataract surgery. After receiving his medical degree in 1984 from the University of Mississippi, Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Quigley went on to become one of the most skilled and experienced cataract surgeons in the world. Performing more than 80,000 cataract surgeries to date, Dr. Quigley is a pioneer in bringing the most effective treatment options, including the SmartLens® procedure, to Southwest Florida.

Known as the surgeon who “specializes in eyes, but is all heart,” Dr. Quigley has a strong commitment to the care of his patients. He continues to provide them with the most advanced technology to help patients have their best possible vision.

Dr. Quigley comes from a large family. He has six brothers and sisters. One of his sisters is blind, which is the inspiration behind what he does. He has 14 nieces and nephews, plus grand nieces and nephews. Dr. Quigley is married with five beautiful children and two amazing grandchildren.

Dr. Quigley enjoys evenings walks with his lovely wife where they can watch the sunset. He also enjoys cooking, so much so that at one point in his childhood, he wanted to be a chef, and even won the Betty Crocker cooking contest in high school. Now, he is proud to say he is his wife’s personal chef.

Not only are Dr. Quigley and his staff professional and provide excellent customer service, they are family oriented making it a pleasant experience while going to the eye doctor.

Dr. Quigley listened very carefully to my past history and my present concerns about my sight and what results I might expect from the cataract surgery. He was careful to explain the benefits, what I might expect or not gain by placing permanent corrective lenses after treatment for the cataracts. He was highly professional and compassionate. The results of the surgery was more than I expected. I often have to smile with approval when I see the commercials in which Dr. Quigley has helped regain the signt of individuals who otherwise could never have afforded to have this type of corrective surgery. Eye Health and Dr. Quigley are the best!

I found your staff to be very friendly and professional. I was seen within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time, which is by far better than any other medical appointment I've had, which includes the VA Clinic, where I get most of my medical care.
