Denise Billings, O.D.

About Dr. Billings
Dr. Denise Foran Billings attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Michigan College of Optometry (formerly Ferris State University, College of Optometry) magna cum laude in 1982. Dr. Billings moved to Florida in 1984 and established her own practice in Port Charlotte in 1986. She was nominated and accepted as a Fellow in The American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 1999. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages! Dr. Billings has decades of experience seeing patients, fitting contact lenses and working with Low Vision patients. She treats each patient as she would a family member, with respect, compassion and kindness.
Family
Dr. Billings has two amazing children. Her son, Beau, is studying to become an ophthalmologist and her daughter, Elizabeth, is studying to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Favorite Things
When not seeing patients, Dr. Billings loves being outside whether it’s the beach, hiking in the woods, skiing in Colorado or pontoon boat riding in Michigan. Thankfully, her family loves the outdoors too and they spend a lot of time together in the Great Outdoors! She also enjoys reading, artwork and cooking.
